I never like to feel like a "tourist," especially as a New Yorker, I know the disdain we have for tourists. As a city known for always being on the go, tourists are constantly in our way, walking at ultra slow speeds to observe all of the NY commotion (and in case they need to stop and take a photograph in the middle of the sidewalk crowds). Since my hatred is embedded in my blood, I refuse all things "tourist," but since The Girls are total art lovers, we ended up at the LACMA. We mostly went for the Guillermo Del Toro exhibit "At Home With Monsters" exhibit which was fascinating, but of course I needed a photo in front of The Urban Light installation. It was ultimate tourist moment, having a full on photoshoot in front of the installation, but when creativity calls, you answer.
